These terms apply to all services provided by PC Tailor, including remote IT support, managed hosting, email services, and website development. By using our services, you agree to these terms.
PC Tailor provides remote support exclusively. All technical support is delivered via secure remote connection over the internet. We do not offer on-site or in-person service. If an issue requires physical access to your computer or equipment, we will advise you and, where possible, recommend a local technician.
You are responsible for maintaining backups of your important data. While we take every care during support sessions, PC Tailor is not liable for any data loss that may occur during or after a remote support session. We recommend maintaining regular backups and are happy to help you set up a backup solution.
By initiating a remote support session — including downloading and running our remote support tool — you authorise PC Tailor to access your computer for the duration of that session for the purpose of providing technical support. You may end the session at any time by closing the remote support application or disconnecting your internet.
All support is provided on a best-efforts basis. Technology is inherently unpredictable, and while we will do everything we reasonably can to resolve your issue, we cannot guarantee a specific outcome. If we are unable to resolve your issue, we will let you know and advise on next steps.
PC Tailor is not responsible for pre-existing hardware faults, software corruption, malware infections, or other issues that existed before our support session. If we discover a pre-existing issue during a session, we will inform you and discuss options.
Our standard pricing is as follows:
Quick Fix: $60 — simple issues, typically resolved in 15–20 minutes.
Standard Support: $120 per hour — covers the vast majority of support requests.
Complex or project work: Quoted individually before work begins.
Payment is due on completion of the support session or as agreed for project work. Hosting and email services are billed monthly.
Any data, files, or information we see during a support session is treated as strictly confidential. We do not store, copy, share, or access your personal data outside of active support sessions. We will never share your information with third parties. Your privacy is important to us.
If any support session is recorded for quality assurance or training purposes, you will be notified before the recording begins and may opt out. Recordings, if made, are stored securely and are not shared.
Managed hosting and email services are provided on a month-to-month basis with no lock-in contract. We perform regular backups of hosted services, but recommend you maintain your own copies of critical data. We reserve the right to suspend services for non-payment after reasonable notice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PC Tailor's liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service that gave rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page with the date of the last update. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
